Guide to Choosing a Hall: Identify Your Needs and Find the Best Solution
Purchasing a warehouse is a significant investment, and making the right choices at the beginning will save you time and money. The purpose of the use determines everything else: do you need space for warm machinery, a weather-protected storage space, or an efficient production environment? This guide will help you understand the key choices so you can find the most cost-effective warehouse solution that best suits your needs.
Temperature requirement: Warm hall or cold hall?
The first and most important decision is the temperature requirement.
- A warm hall is essential when working in the space daily, storing sensitive materials or maintaining production processes. Modern insulation solutions and heating systems ensure even conditions and high energy efficiency, which keeps operating costs under control.
- A cold storage facility is a practical and cost-effective weather protection for vehicles, machinery, timber or other raw materials. It is the ideal solution when you need protection from rain, snow and sun without constant heating costs.
Structure and materials: Wooden frame and Urethane elements
The frame and wall structure of a hall affect not only its durability and energy efficiency, but also its appearance and ecology.
- Timber-framed halls are our primary choice when it comes to achieving a sustainable, ecological and architecturally impressive end result. Wood is a renewable material that sequesters carbon and creates a small carbon footprint for the building. In addition to its strength, wood creates a natural and breathable environment that many of our customers appreciate.
- The urethane element (or sandwich element) is a commonly used solution in industrial halls when the goal is technical performance and the most efficient thermal insulation. The element's structure, where the insulating material is between two metal plates, enables good insulation performance with a thin wall thickness. The prefabricated elements are quick to install and are well suited to applications where installation efficiency and functionality are emphasized.
Purpose: Efficient machine hall or multi-purpose space? The ultimate purpose of the hall dictates its size and functionality.
- A small machine shed is the perfect solution for farms, small businesses or hobbyists who need practical and sheltered space for machinery and tools. Its design emphasizes optimized space utilization and easy placement.
- Large industrial and warehouse buildings require careful planning in terms of logistics, door placement and free floor space. The goal is always to create the most efficient and safe working environment.
Price and budgeting: What factors affect the price of a hall?
The final price of a hall is influenced by several factors. When planning your budget, it is a good idea to consider:
Size and height: Area and volume are the biggest factors affecting price.
Equipment level: Number of doors (lifting doors, wicket doors), windows and interior walls.
Level of insulation: Insulation solutions for a warm hall are naturally more comprehensive than for a cold hall.
Foundations and earthworks: The characteristics of the plot affect the extent of foundation works.
Tell us your needs and we will help you put together a package that fits your budget and meets all your requirements.
A magnificent and stylish hall made of wooden elements
The client wanted a clear, stylish and functional space solution that would be completed quickly. The end result was a hall made of wooden elements – sized exactly to the client's needs.
The building was quickly erected and is now ready for versatile everyday use. The simple design language and dark tones fit nicely into its surroundings, and the hall offers a durable and practical framework for years to come.

Frequently Asked Questions – Hall Design, Price and Delivery
We have compiled answers to the most common questions our customers have when planning to purchase a hall. Our goal is to make the process as clear and transparent as possible.
How much does it cost to build a hall?
This is of course the most important question. It is impossible to give an exact price without details, but we can give some indicative examples of the factors that most affect the price:
- Size and shape: The area and height of the hall are the largest single factors.
- Insulation: A warm hall requires extensive insulation, which increases the price compared to an uninsulated cold hall.
- Equipment: The number and quality of lifting doors, passage doors, windows and partitions.
- Foundations: The soil of the plot affects the extent of the foundation work.
As a rule of thumb: A small, uninsulated machine hall can cost around 20,000–40,000 euros, while a large, fully equipped and heated industrial hall can cost over 100,000 euros. You can get an exact and binding price by requesting a quote from us with your own wishes.
Can I build a hall completely according to my own dimensions and plans?
Yes, absolutely. This is our core competence. Although we offer ready-made models for inspiration, the majority of the halls we deliver are individually tailored. In our individual design, we can take into account everything:
- Exact dimensions: Width, length and height to suit your plot and equipment.
- Door and window location: Optimise logistics and natural light.
- Appearance: Facade materials and colours to suit your company's look or environment.
- Interior layout: Placement of office, social and storage spaces.
Tell us your vision and we'll make it come true.
Can hall solutions be customized according to customer wishes?
Yes, all halls can be customized according to the customer's wishes. Whether it is a warehouse, industrial hall or sports hall, we can implement individual plans and offer a solution that suits the customer. The customer's own plans are taken into account, and we can proceed based on them to ensure that the end result meets all requirements.
What is the scope of delivery? Will the hall be delivered "turnkey"?
We offer flexible scopes of delivery that can be tailored to your budget and expertise. The most common options are:
- Pre-cut delivery: Timber cut to size and marked, which you assemble yourself or with a local carpenter. The most cost-effective option if you have the construction expertise.
- Element delivery: We deliver the walls and roof structures as large, factory-made elements. This speeds up the erection on site significantly.
- Installed with weather protection: We erect the hall completely finished from the outside on the foundations. The waterproofing, walls, doors and windows are installed.
- Turnkey delivery: Yes, we will take care of the entire project for you from start to finish through our partner network. This covers everything from the foundation work to the final lists.
How long does it usually take to implement a hall project?
The total duration of the project depends on many factors, but it can be roughly divided into three parts:
- Design and permit process (1–3 months): This phase often takes the most time. The processing time for a building permit varies between municipalities.
- Manufacturing and foundation work (1–2 months): Once the permits are in order, the hall parts are manufactured in the factory while the earthworks and foundations are carried out on your plot.
- Establishment (1–4 weeks): The actual erection of the hall is a quick phase. As a prefabricated building, erection typically takes only a few days or weeks, depending on the size of the hall.
With good planning, your new hall can be ready for use even 3–6 months after the decision is made.
Do I need a permit to build a hall?
Yes, almost without exception, building a hall requires a permit. The type of permit depends on the size and purpose of the hall:
- A construction permit may be sufficient for smaller sheds or warehouses of less than 20–30 m² (there are differences between municipalities).
- A building permit is practically always required for larger halls.
Although we cannot apply for a permit on your behalf, we will provide the main drawings (ground plan, elevation and section views) that you need to attach to your building permit application. We are also happy to advise you on the general steps of the process.
Find the Perfect Hall Solution Based on Your Own Plans
Just for your needs
When standard halls do not meet all requirements, a customized hall is the best solution. This means that you can define the size, shape and features of the hall precisely according to your plot and purpose, whether it is an industrial space, a warehouse or a machine hall. Careful planning ensures that every square meter is used efficiently. The end result is a space solution that is not only practical and durable, but also a truly value-added investment.
Modular Hall Solutions
In modular construction, the hall is assembled from predefined, compatible parts, such as 2.4-meter modules. This approach offers significant advantages:
- Faster erection: Prefabricated elements speed up construction on site.
- Predictable costs: Modularity helps you manage your budget more accurately.
- Easy expandability: As your business grows, it is possible to seamlessly expand the hall by adding new modules.
Individually Designed Hall Packages
A hall package is a modern and flexible way to acquire a building that suits your needs. The design process always starts with your wishes and requirements. Individual design can take into account, for example:
- Dimensions and shape: The hall can be perfectly adapted to the dimensions and shape of the plot.
- Doors and windows: Place A-doors, wicket doors and windows exactly where they will enhance workflow and bring in natural light.
- Materials and appearance: Choose facade materials and colors that blend seamlessly together
